About Me

My name is Justin Tarte and I am a passionate educator with a love of human resource management, student learning, and technology. I am married to my best friend, Gina (@gmv398), and we have both a son, Emory (@emorytarte) and just recently, a daughter, Molly (@mollytarte). 

I am the Executive Director of Human Resources in the Union R-XI School District. Prior to that, I was the Director of Curriculum and Support Services in Union, as well as the Principal and Assistant Principal at Poplar Bluff Junior High School in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Before that, I taught German at Seckman High School in the Fox C-6 School District in Arnold, Missouri. 

I am excited about school culture, integrating technology and social media into the educational setting, while increasing collaboration & transparency among all stakeholders. My interests also include grading and assessment, STE(A)M, problem-based learning, #futureready schools, human resources, and all topics related to ensuring education is relevant and purposeful for our students.
